Born in 1974, Suzanne Song lives and works in New York. She illustrates multifaceted dimensions that blur the boundary between illusion and reality. Using simple modes of transformation – reflection, rotation, and perspectival play – Song executes new spatial configurations that further her exploration of perceptual duality. Through her paintings, she explores the notions of duality and how they can be explored through spatial and perceptual means. Song received her MFA from Yale School of Art, Yale University. Song is a recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting and the George R. Bunker Award from Yale School of Art. Her work is held in the collections of the RISD Museum, Rhode Island School of Design; Parkseobo Foundation, Korea; and the Montecito Contemporary Art Collection.
