With The Marking Point, Nobuhira Narumi investigates various forms of symbiosis between dogs and human beings, based on his experience with dogs and their owners in various countries and environments. In his paintings, Narumi trains his gaze on humans by depicting them through the eyes of a dog. Born in Sapporo, Japan in 1968, Nobuhira Narumi lives and works in Tokyo. He received an MFA from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1992.
